1. Personal Goal

Splits

I made some headway this week on my goal to do the splits by the end of the year, however I am quite a way off. I feel in order to reach my goal I am going to have to do another stretching session, or even 2 extra per day.

Living to 150

I am already tracking many things, and increasing my organic food intake as we become more able to afford going beyond the “dirty dozen” which we have always followed.  Started Reservatol recently, a cheap and easy supplement that is supposed to encourage youthfulness. I am also considering taking metformin if it is possible to get easily, and there is now 20+ years of research showing it is safe, and tells the cells to repair instead of “age”

2. Family

We are having a hard time with Ethan at the moment, for some reason (12 year old boy), he is pushing us a lot at the moment as he breaks out to independence. He is going through a phase it seems, and it is a hard one on us, particularly me as a step parent, as he “blames” me for everything wrong in his life, which is unfortunate. We are grateful to have a huge learning opportunity: in managing difficult people, negotiation and asking for help/ getting what you want/ is best for people.

3. Reading

I just read the “The Science of being great” by WD Wattles, written in 1910, the 2nd part of the 3 part series “The Science of..”

Was an inspiring book. I was honestly moved by the great stories in there. The language was very readable and I was taken with the faith that was discussed in this book along with “The Science of being rich” and “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill. Supporting a lot of the training and mentors I have worked with over the years, this talk of having faith – in yourself, in life, in your ability, in the universe (or God as some call it) and knowing that “you are exactly where you need to be”
Also started listening to “Principles” by Ray Dalio – already inspired after a few chapters, looking forward to this. One big take away so far has been to write down decision making criteria in order to be able to repeat it, ie. create your own principals.

4. Watching

Youtube

I watched the Impact Theory/ Tom Bilyue interview of this Aussie scientist, David Sinclair PHD, at Harvard. He has read further into longevity research, supplements that you should take to increase long healthy lives, and also lifestyle choices you can make. For example having another very credible voice repeat the Intermittent Fasting effects on general health and longevity is great, I will discuss current IF regime below.

Netflix

Started the “Decoding Bills Brain” doco on Netflix – on Bill Gates and his and Melinda’s foundation! So far finding out that he took 10 years to develop a great low/ no energy toilet with zero waste! Fantastic effort and will be seeing much higher levels of sanitary around the world thanks to this great achievement!

Also started season two of Working Moms… which is even better than season one! Jun pointed out that the main star and writer/ creator is the daughter of Ivan Reitman. Being the writer/ director of my favourite film, Ghostbusters – so no wonder I love the comedy in this show. I look forward to watching her career in ernst.

5. Property

Newcastle

We chose and instructed the Project Manager and design firm that will take this to the next stage. Building regulations, sign off and write up the tender. As our first project in the NW, finding the right team members slowed us up a little. We are pressing ahead all the same doing the preparation work. Ripping out and chasing utility companies to get it all organised along with sourcing some materials and kitchen designs.

We also instructed our planning consultant on this more complex planning required building in Crewe. I also had the opportunity to workshop this with the 2 founders of Crowd Property. One of the largest and most successful peer 2 peer lending platforms in the UK.

Over the last 6 years I have managed to find the love of my life and create a family, create a successful business and know when to quit (maybe a bit late) and moved into a lifestyle of investing. Currently working on a passive income to replace my previous income, we are about 50% of the way towards it) I am passionate about helping guys become more fullfilled in their life by addressing micro problems one at a time in the sphere of Health, Wealth and Wisdom.
